Stories have always mattered to me.

As a child, I was drawn to the old myths of the Norse gods, heroes and impossible journeys.

Never Ending Story anyone?

Years later, working as a nurse in Accident and Emergency, I realised those stories had never really been about magic. They were about ordinary people facing extraordinary moments with courage, sacrifice and honour. The old stories hadn't become outdated, they'd just been forgotten.

I'm the author of Radical Rest, Runes Made Easy, The Book of Runic Astrology and The Runic Oracle. I also write historical fantasy and science fiction, build practical mythic systems. And help authors bring their own books into the world through publishing, design and creative support.

Although the projects look and feel different, they all serve the same purpose. Using story to help people become more capable, resilient and fully themselves.

I believe we've lost many of the rites of passage that once helped people grow into adulthood. Modern culture offers endless self-improvement, yet much of it feels either soft and directionless or loud and performative. I believe stories offer another path. They entertain first, then quietly challenge us to become better. I call this Initiation by Story.

If my work has a single message. It's that, honour still matters. Discipline still matters. The old stories still have something to teach us. Especially when we tell them in a new way.
